Match a defined record set

The four rows below use synthetic trade references. A practical specification starts with account, instrument, execution reference, direction, quantity, currency and timestamp conventions. Price, fees and settlement references are then compared using documented tolerances and source precedence.

Each exception needs a reason and an accountable owner. “Not received” is distinct from a zero quantity or fee; a missing record cannot be treated as a matched position.

Review before closing an exception

For DEMO-002, compare execution references and partial-fill timing before adjusting the quantity. For DEMO-003, check fee currency, accrual timing and the provider charge reference. For DEMO-004, request the missing source record and retain its receipt time. The register keeps each difference visible until its designated owner records closure.

What the work package contains

An agreed field map, matching rules, a reconciliation output, an exception register and a handover describing ownership, escalation and closure evidence. Acceptance uses the agreed sample and tolerances, with unresolved differences retained in the record.
